Experience Italian Foods at Spaghetti Factory in Ayala Center Cebu

Spaghetti Factory at Ayala Center Cebu - Italian Restaurant and pizza place. It was a great experience eating in this kind of restaurant because of their foods, ambiance and services. When I saw this Spaghetti Factory in Cebu, I though they only serve "Spaghetti, Pasta or Pizza" but it's not, I found out that they also serve lots of menus and other Italian foods (Although, I'm not really familiar with their food names and I don't know how to read some of them.).

At first, medyo hindi ko talaga nagustuhan ang lasa coz' I'm not used to eat Italian foods always kasi mahal. It taste like matabang or shall we say hindi talaga lasang pinoy (hehe) pero as the clock ticks medyo nagustuhan ko na ang lasa at talaga naman palang masarap ang kanilang mga pagkain na sini -serve. It takes time for me figure out how delicious their foods are.

Let's talk about Prices of their Foods
Honestly, the price is not that cheap but it's not that expensive also. Just don't compare the price of their foods to the other food chains you saw (medyo may pagka-mahal naman talaga). Spaghetti Factory has a variety of food choices, from starters to desserts.  Price ranges from 100 - 300 Pesos mostly. Desserts ranges 50 - 200 Pesos.
Where to find Spaghetti Factory
Spaghetti Factory will be found at 3rd Level, Ayala Center Cebu, Cebu City 6000. You can call them for inquiries.

Cebu City 78th Charter Day February 24, 2015 - Special Non-Working Holiday: History

Cebu City will celebrate its 78th Charter Day on February 24, 2015. It is a special non-working holiday in Cebu City. If employees will work on Feb 24, he/she will receive additional 30 percent of his/her daily salary.

It's the 78th year of Cebu City - the history will tell us. Let us all honor and celebrate this day. Cebu City has set different kinds of activities.

BIRTH OF A CITY

The idea of empowering leaders thru the local government to efficiently serve the people is not new. This was the driving force that fueled Vicente Rama, who was a member of the National Assembly, to propose legislation. He had a vision to provide the new City of Cebu under the law more powers including independent sourcing of revenues in order not to rely on the internal revenue allotment of the national government.

The law creating the City of Cebu was to provide it an efficient system of government, not just achieving fiscal autonomy and decentralization of power to the local government units.

LAW CREATING THE CHARTERED CITY

On October 20, 1934, Commonwealth Act No. 58 creating the City of Cebu was approved.  Authored by the late Senator Vicente Rama (who also served as Cebu’s second City Mayor), Commonwealth Act No. 58 provided for the granting of the Charter of the City of Cebu.

On February 24, 1937, the City of Cebu was inaugurated in front of the pre-war City Hall. The then Secretary of the Interior, Hon. Elpidio Quirino, represented President Manuel L. Quezon in the inaugural ceremonies and administered the oath of office to the newly-appointed City Mayor and the newly-appointed Members of the Municipal Board. A former Provincial Treasurer of Cebu, Hon. Alfredo V. Jacinto was sworn into office as the first City Mayor of Cebu.  Along with him, City Councilors were also sworn into office by Secretary Quirino.

Republic Act No. 244, which was approved on June 12, 1948, provided for the position of Vice Mayor of the City of Cebu, the Vice Mayor to be appointed by the President of the Philippines with the consent of the Commission on Appointments. First to be appointed Vice Mayor by virtue of the provisions of R.A. No. 244 was Hon. Arsenio Villanueva who took his oath of office on July 16, 1948.

One of the most significant amendments to the Charter of the City of Cebu (C.A. No. 58) came with the approval of Republic Act No. 1243 on June 7, 1955. This particular amendment provided for the election at large, by the qualified voters of the City in conformity with the provisions of the Revised Election Code, of the City Mayor and the Vice Mayor. The first election for City Mayor and Vice Mayor was held during the general election for provincial and municipal officials on November 8, 1955. Chosen as Cebu City’s first elected City Mayor was Hon. Sergio OsmeƱa, Jr. with Hon. Ramon Duterte as the first duly-elected Vice Mayor.

Another very significant amendment to the City Charter is the provided for in Republic Act No. 3857, otherwise known as the “Revised Charter of the City of Cebu.” R.A. No. 3857 was approved on June 10, 1964.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts - You Will Be Surprise by its Taste

You want surprise? Well, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts will give you a surprise. It may not be as good as you think about the taste of Krispy Kreme doughnuts but once you try it, you will surely be surprised. The taste of Krispy Kreme doughnuts are beyond your expectations.

Krispy Kreme offer extraordinary doughnuts paired with coffee. For generations, Krispy Kreme has made people around the world taste how doughnuts should be made.

History of Krispy Kreme

Opened doors on
July 13, 1937.

Vernon Rudolph bought a secret yeast-raised doughnut recipe from a New Orleans French chef, rented a building in what is now historic Old Salem in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and began selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts on July 13, 1937 to local grocery stores. The delicious scent of cooking doughnuts drifted into the streets, and passers-by stopped to ask if they could buy hot doughnuts. So, he cut the hole in an outside wall and started selling hot Original Glazed doughnuts directly to customers on the sidewalk.

Improving the doughnut making process through innovations.

By now there was a small chain of stores, mostly family-owned. They all used the Krispy Kreme recipe, but each store made its doughnuts from scratch. For Rudolph and Krispy Kreme, the results were always good but not consistent enough. So Krispy Kreme built a mix plant and developed a distribution system that delivered the perfect dry doughnut mix to each Krispy Kreme store. Then Rudolph and his equipment engineers invented and built.

Krispy Kreme’s own doughnut-making equipment. From the 1950s on, they focused on improving and automating the doughnut-making process.

60s & 70s. Our stores are familiar gathering places for friends.

During the 1960s, Krispy Kreme enjoyed steady growth throughout the Southeast and began expanding outside its traditional roots. The design of Krispy Kreme stores became consistent including the hallmark green tile roofs and heritage road signs. Veron Rudolph, our founder, died in 1973, and growth slowed as the company was reorganized for sale to Beatrice Foods Company in 1976.

80s & 90s. The hot doughnut experience…everyone was talking about us!

In 1982, a small group of our early franchisees bought KRISPY Kreme back from Beatrice Foods. A renewed focus on the hot doughnut experience became a priority for the company. Krispy Kreme began to expand outside the Southeast and opened its first store in New York City in 1996. Soon afterward, in 1999, the first store in California opened and national expansion was well underway. When Krispy Kreme turned 60 years old in 1997, it was officially recognized as a 29th century American icon with the donation of company artifacts to the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History.
